Acupuncture, Acupressure, Vinyasa Yoga, and Guided Meditation Special Event
Acupuncture, Acupressure, Vinyasa Yoga, and Guided Meditation Special Event
1.5hr Class with Kristy Levandoski + Hannah Truncali
Up to 10 people
Students will leave the event feeling deeply restored and energetically balanced.
This combination class and techniques used have been shown to elicit endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers/feel- good hormones from the brain, and help the body reset from fight/flight/freeze, into a rest/ digest/restore state of being. Done consistently, these nudges help recalibrate your default state of being from one of chronic stress, inflammation, and disconnection to one of embodiment, restoration, and safety.
All equipment provided (mats, blocks, essential oil, music, needles etc)
Vinyasa yoga flow, guided meditation, acupuncture/acupressure, self empowerment, positivity and peace.
Everything can be customized based on your needs.
You will remain fully clothed - wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be rolled up to the elbows/knees. Make sure the shirt is a little more fitted around the waist as your shirt may go up in certain yoga poses.
You can opt for either needles (4-6 needles per person) or acupressure on 4-6 points. Needles are retained for 10-15 minutes.
The Gentle to Moderate level Vinyasa:
Kristy will instruct a vinyasa flow that prepares beginners to start their yoga journey while enabling students with prior experience to challenge themselves appropriately. Expect inventive and thoughtful sequences of sun salutations, standing and seated postures guided by steady breath to heat the body and cool the mind. There will be entire class led instruction as well as one on one attention. Poses are meant to connect mind and body together while strengthening muscles and creating flexibility and agility as a whole.
Guided meditation will lead students through empowering stories, imagery, breathing exercises, mantras, and real life authentic feelings meant to connect you to your highest self.
Acupuncture/Acupressure:
Hannah will use techniques from Traditional Chinese Medicine that involve stimulating acupuncture points, located on various channels of the body. Acupuncture channels are like rivers of life force flowing through us. Acupuncture points are located at potent areas along these channels where this life force energy (qi) can be regulated.
Acupressure is gentle pressure either from a thumb or forefinger, or using a tool such as a gua sha tool, tuning fork, or acupressure bead. Essential oils may be applied to the points as well. Acupuncture involves the insertion of a hair-thin, sterile, single-use stainless steel needle at the site of the acu-point to more strongly influence the flow of qi. Hannah draws on the function of each chosen acu-point, and uses intention and reiki to strengthen the qi, or disperse stuck qi. Sometimes our qi is going the wrong way (headaches, hot flashes, nausea, anxiety are all examples of too much qi rising up, for example), and acupressure/acupuncture is a way to redirect and ground that energy. For the purposes of this setting, the most common points that may be accessed (with your comfort and consent) are located on the head, ears, forearms/wrists/hands, and from knees to the feet.
